English Learners and students with disabilities make up a growing share of our student populations, and school districts are searching for ways to better support their growth. Over the last school year, the Anaheim Union High School District has reimagined instructional coaching to improve EL and SWD student growth through a commitment to provide every teacher with feedback on their teaching as much as they want and whenever they want. With focused, frequent, and job-embedded feedback, teachers are getting their ELs and SWDs to do more of the talking and learning in the classroom. Join AUHSD’s Chief Academic Officer Manuel Colon to learn how AUHSD set their student growth goals, helped teachers get timely and frequent feedback on their teaching, and measured student-centered instruction in the classroom with amazing results so far.
